The American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras (AYPO) has this year celebrated its 52nd anniversary season of service to young musicians in the National Capital Region. AYPO is currently developing its new strategic plan for the next five years, with important goals for expanding its outreach and opportunity to children in the region. At the recent Parents Meeting, three new board members were elected including Neeta Helms, who was named President in succession to Robert Sollinger, who has successfully steered AYPO through a transitional period.
Neeta Helms has connections to musicians, orchestras and choirs all around the world. Established 1992, she built up Classical Movements into one of the premier music touring companies of the world, offering services to world class orchestras, choruses, numerous celebrated institutions, world renowned conductors, composers and soloists.
