Summer Percussion Academy
Under the Direction of Doug Wallace, Summer Percussion Academy provides a week long camp for rising 6th through 9th graders and will involve daily technique class on all standard percussion instruments, masterclasses from guest professional musicians, percussion ensemble, music theory, history of percussion, composition, and a concert for the public on Friday afternoon.
This year AYPO’s Summer Percussion Academy will take place the week of Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, 2024 from 9pm-1pm at Williamsburg Middle School (Arlington, VA). Friday, July 26th, the camp will run 9AM-5PM with a 3PM performance.

Grades: Rising 6th-9th
Those who wish to be accepted into the Summer Percussion Academy need only to submit the application form and make payment by June 1, 2024.
*Tuition requires an additional 1.95% non-refundable credit card processing fee.
