American Youth Prelude Strings

The American Youth Prelude Strings, launched in 2022, offers an introduction to string orchestra for elementary-aged string players. With no more than 25 musicians accepted into the ensemble, Ms. Gomez creates a fun, close-knit, learning environment for our youngest AYPO members. Prelude Strings performs two annual Showcases in January and May for parents and friends. Repertoire includes level half to two literature (via the VBODA literature levels). Rising 6th graders (and older) may not audition at the Prelude Strings; they should audition for Debut Orchestra, String Ensemble, or one of the full orchestras.
