AYPO Marketing
What is your current AYPO ensemble?
Philharmonic (AYP)
What AYPO ensembles have you played in and for how long?
AYPO 2023 - 2025
What college/university do you plan on attending this fall?
Boston University.
What do you hope to do after graduation or your more long-term goals?
“I will be attending the Brevard Orchestral Institute for the 4th year and will continue to develop my horn skills with the help of Abel Pereira, Principal NSO and Hazel Davis, Boston Pops.”
A favorite, or memorable AYPO experience?
“Once, a new horn player asked me how to transpose the key "corno", which means 'horn' in Latin. One of the most memorable experiences was rehearsing in a side-by-side with the National Symphony Orchestra.”
What musician, conductor, or orchestra inspires you and why?
“Abel Pereira's amazing sound and technique continue to inspire me. His incredible, focused and kind instruction have helped me in so many ways towards reaching my goals. I also listen to the Berlin Philharmoniker and find Sarah Willis's low horn ability inspiring.”
Your advice for young musicians?
“My advice to young musicians is to play as many opportunities as you can and take practice very slowly with precision to avoid learning bad habits. Listening to recordings is very helpful, too.”
Congratulations, Khloe!
