Tyler Golsen
Production Manager
Tyler Golsen is a DMV local who has spent over a decade working in the arts. While obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at the University of Maryland, he spent most of his downtime working backstage in the Production Management department at the school’s Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. Upon graduation, Tyler continued to work at The Clarice while pursuing roles as a Staff Writer at Far Out Magazine and as an Associate Producer at SiriusXM’s MLB Network Radio.
A four-month stretch as interim Properties Shop Manager at The Clarice led to his hiring as an Assistant Production Manager at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts at the end of 2024. Working in the Theatrical Productions and Events department, Tyler helped stage youth-centered shows like Other Children of the Sun and The Sea Beyond the Ocean along with the long-running interactive comedy Shear Madness. Now at AYPO, Tyler’s duties include the organization of all aspects related to concerts and performances, from initial advances and stage plotting to facilitating communication between artistic staff, administrative employees, venues and students. Above all, Tyler’s goal is to provide opportunities for young musicians to excel in the arts and rally together the tight-knit community that supports them.
